Who We Are
Independent, Restorative, Vitality, Profitable
Our Mission
Agrownomics was established in 2013, with a primary vision to grow nutrient-dense food through productive farming practices. It started as a one-man journey, now Agrownomics has developed into a team of consultants, all passionate about Soil. Why soil you might ask?
Soil is one of the world’s most valuable resources, it forms the foundation for all life, the building blocks for a healthy, flourishing eco-system. If the foundation has issues or structural problems, these will impact the outcome of the next piece in the puzzle - plants. A stressed plant, without the correct mineral and microbial support, will fall susceptible to disease, drought and pest pressure. This will then flow onto the animal, without complete proteins or balanced nutrition, to meet animal demand. Our food web is intrinsically connected, thus in farming systems, soil, plant & animal health are all byproducts of our management.
Soil is incredibly intricate & complex, yet in the same breath - simple, simmering down to the same root essential needs of all life: Water, Air & Food. If we create an environment that aids in this process, we are a few steps closer to building nutrient density, health and wealth. A healthy soil environment can only be created when we can honour & balance the relationships between chemistry, biology and physics.
At Agrownomics, we have identified the need for sound independent advice. Our focus is to put the control & benefit back into the farmer’s hands, through education, fertility, and economics. This is achieved by identifying limiting factors, balancing minerals, feeding soil microbes, building organic matter and supporting management. Our heart is to develop healthy functioning soils, regenerative systems & profitable farm systems.
We cover the major primary sectors: Viticulture, Dairy, Sheep & Beef and Arable. Whether you are growing pastures, cereal crops or table crops, we have a diverse team with a wealth of experience and knowledge to pull upon. Our team has a unique ability to communicate complex matters into simple farmer language, this is one of the keys to driving on farm engagement and success.
We have a team approach and are passionate that everyone pitches in and plays a part. Without engagement there can be no improvement. We understand that each farm has different systems and we work with where each farmer is at.
We are passionate about doing the journey with our farmers. If you are not growing and learning, then we are simply not doing our job in making agriculture a viable future. We are here for you.

This dairy farm used to be a block of pines 10years ago. After 2 winter crop rotations, the land was renovated into pasture and irrigation was installed. This soil was plucked out by hand, it shows beautiful aggregation, crumb structure and teeming with life. This was stony shingle paddock not that long ago
